Everyone loves chocolate but there are two kinds of chocolates, the first one is sweet chocolate and the second one is dark chocolate which is a little bitter in taste. Many of us prefer to eat sweet chocolate which is normally available in all stores and markets and it is not really good for health. But dark chocolate is extremely good for our health because there are so many benefits of dark chocolate. To name a few, it controls our blood pressure and cholesterol level. Cocoa powder and chocolate both are good for skin, hair, and health.
Cocoa powder comes from the cocoa beans which is the pure and raw form of dark chocolate. A few days back I experimented with dark chocolate to find out if it really works on the skin, hair and overall health and the results were surprising! Here are the results and what I performed.
1- MAKES YOU YOUNGER
Is this true that chocolate helps to prevent wrinkles? yeah, it is true. Dark chocolate makes you younger because it has antioxidants in a higher range, so this helps you to look younger.
2- COCOA HAIR COLOR
Dark chocolate can make your hair strong, shiny and will also maintain your hair color as you get older. Here is a tip, just add cocoa powder in lukewarm water and mix some coffee as well, put it in a spray bottle. After taking a shower spray it on your hair.
3- CHOCOLATE MASK FOR OILY SKIN
If you are tired of acne then you really need to try the cocoa mask. You just need cocoa powder, cinnamon, and honey. Mix well all of these ingredients and apply all over your face. After 15 to 20 minutes wash the mask off. Apply twice a week if you are having serious problems with your acne and all of your acne problems will be solved.
4- CHOCOLATE FAKE TAN
Sometimes people with very light skin don’t like to go out without any makeup. So I decided to make it easier and make a fake tan at home. You just need Coconut oil/Body lotion ( this is totally up to you which one you like oil or lotion) and cocoa powder. Add cocoa powder in the lotion/oil until you got your desired skin tone. Now its time for the magic! Apply it on your body and I know the result will be amazing.
5- SKIN COMPLEXION
If you want a lighter and glowing skin color, just eat dark chocolate and you will surely see the benefits of dark chocolate. But I believe your original color is your real beauty.
6- WAX OF CHOCOLATE
Nothing is better than a homemade wax, the best benefit of chocolate wax is it is anti-inflammation. Well, you just need a few things to prepare your homemade wax. Firstly you’ll need sugar, water, lemon juice, little quantity of glycerine and cocoa powder. The process is really simple, in a pan you need to add your wax which contains sugar, water, lemon juice, and glycerine and cook it for 5 minutes. After that, add cocoa powder and further cook it for 1 to 2 minutes. Now turn off your stove and take it out and keep it in a jar. When the wax is cooled down you can apply the wax on your body. The result will be amazing.
7- SAVES YOU FROM SUN DAMAGE
You know dark chocolate and cocoa have some amazing levels of antioxidants. If you want to save your skin from sunburn or cancer, make your habit of eating a little bit of dark chocolate daily. Dark chocolate saves your skin from UV damage.
8- CHOCOLATE SCRUB
Do you want soft skin? there is a scrub that can make your skin soft, glowy and moisturized. You’ll need brown/white sugar (I prefer white sugar but you can use whichever is good for you), essential oils and cocoa powder. Now mix all the ingredients well and place it in a jar. Your scrub is ready and you can use it any time you want. This is my personal favorite because of all the ingredients and the benefits of dark chocolate will give you amazingly soft skin.
