MRSA stands for Meticillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus also known as SUPERBUG. MRSA is a type of bacterial infection and can easily spread to any areas of the body including lungs, skin and many other parts. Though, it is further called as SUPERBUG because it is resistant to common other antibiotics. Some infections are not that serious but MRSA can do a life-threatening danger.

However! it is look alike to any other common STAPH infection like pimples, red bump, or even boil. You may find most of the MRSA infections normal and easy to treat. Thus, it can possible that they turn it into a serious condition or maybe they go even deeper into the skin. Mostly, people who had done their surgery or stayed a day/night at the hospital can easily be attacked by MRSA infections.

Although, there are many chances for those old people who are living in a nursing home can be affected by this infection. People with a weakened immune system can also have an increased chance to get affected by MRSA. Patients with diabetes, HIV/AIDS, or even cancer increases their chance of having MRSA stubborn infection.

MRSA spread due to the closeness of:

  • someone’s MRSA-infected skin,
  • Touching something which is affected by MRSA like door handles, wall switches, or even keyboards,
  • Using other personal hygienic utensils like razor, soap, or towel,

1. FIRST LINE THERAPY:

  • Trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole ( TMP-SMX)
  • Bacterium DS
  • Septra DS
  • Sulfamethoprism-DS.

2. SECOND LINE THERAPY:

Do remember that with this clindamycin ( Cleocin ) body may develop resistant to this drug. Especially if that is resistant to erythromycin.

3. THIRD LINE THERAPY:

These are prescribed for taking to full 21 days,

  • Tetracycline or
  • Doxycycline/minocycline ( Dynacin, Minocin ).

4. FOURTH LINE THERAPY:

  • Linezolid,
  • Rifampin ( Rifadin )

They may effective too but with the combinations of with other drugs. Rifampin can cause high concentrations of mucosal surfaces. It is an addition to a regimen to cure MRSA is theoretically beneficial.

HOME-MADE TREATMENT FOR MRSA

Although, doctors may prescribe to take a test for further confirmation of the MRSA infection. They may also take a culture from the infected area. It is totally depending on the visible symptoms, a doctor may advise going for a blood test, urine test, or swabs from many areas on your skin, nose, or even saliva.

However, there are many natural home-made treatments are available to get rid of your infection easily and pain-free. Some experts say that some of the preventions are the best to follow if you want to not infected by MRSA,

  • Wash your hands regularly before or after taking a meal.
  • Always use anti-bacterial soaps or solutions.
  • Some experts suggest washing the hands as long as by completing the alphabets of A to Z.
  • Immediately apply a band-aid or anti-bacterial lotions to cover up the cuts or scrapes.
  • Stay away from those infected people wounds or bandages.
  • Try to use a dryer to keep your clothes, towel, and sheets dry instead of natural dry. It may help to kill the bacteria.
  • Onion is also very effective by rubbing it gently on the wounds.

ACTIVATED CHARCOAL:

Activated charcoal works like wonders to remove toxins from the skin. The purifying effects may reduce the redness and pain on the skin and helps to remove the bacteria from the skin.

DIRECTIONS TO USE CHARCOAL; 

  • 1 tablespoon of charcoal
  • 1/4 teaspoon of olive oil
  • A drop of tea tree oil

Mix all of them then applying it to the affected areas with the help of towel or woven cloth. Further, cover it with a bandage because charcoal can be very messy.

SOME ESSENTIAL OILS TO USE TO CURE MRSA INFECTION:

Various oils are available to cure the infection naturally. You may further choose one oil or you can go for a combination too. Firstly, dilute your oil before starting the application to prevent the sensitivity and allergies.

1. TEA TREE OIL:

This essential oil is very effective for the MRSA infection wounds. It is an antibiotic, antiseptic, and anti-fungal oil. It has the ability to fight the strep boils, staph infections, and even mastitis. Use a single drop with the combination of olive oil, applying it to the infected areas.

2. PEPPERMINT OIL:

It is another antibacterial oil which has a cooling effect. You can use it as a single or make a combination with olive oil. It will help to dry the wound and make it possible to heal quickly.

3. LAVENDER OIL:

It has a soothing and relaxing effect. An antibiotic and anti-fungal properties which help to fight the infection. you further use it as plain or with olive oil. The choice is yours.

4. CLOVE OIL:

Clove oil is basically used to numb your infection. It is also used by the dentists to apply it on the gums before starting the treatment. It has strong antimicrobial properties to combat the infection.

5. ROSEMARY OIL:

6. GARLIC OIL:
